"We Do No More Or No Less Than What's Written In The Word Of God" Rev. 22:18-19

Encouraging Encounters with Epris

Yesterday as I heard the garbage truck outside I remembered that we needed to take the garbage to the curb.I woke my sons up to take the garbage to the curb and they did just that. Shortly after the boys took the garbage out I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and it was the garbage man, whom I had never met before. He advised me that he had already done our side of the street and he didn't want to turn around for one house but if I would bring the can across the street he would dump it and then we could put the other bags of trash in the can and he would continue to dump the trash until he has it all. Me and the boys ran outside and one of the boys grabbed the can and my other son and me began grabbing the bags that were not in the can. As he said he would the garbage man dumped all of the garbage until it was gone. As I began to think about it I began to think about all of the garbage that we have in our lives and how the Lord knocks on our door awaiting to take it from us. Not only did we have our regular week's worth of garbage but we had missed the truck last week so we had two weeks of garbage in our garage and Christmas garbage, which he also took. At times we have allowed things to pile up in our lives because we become so consumed with life that we forget to take our garbage to the Lord. If we take notice, garbage begins to stink and attract rodents. When we allow garbage to remain in our lives our lives begin to stink and attract those things and people that are only attracted to garbage, rodents. Take a look at your life today. Do you need the garbage man? Have you become so busy that you forgot to give the Lord your garbage? Just like my garbage man who seen all of the garbage I had and knocked on my door so the Lord sees all of ours. Revelation 3:20 states " Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. You see the Lord desires to come into our hearts and remove all of that old junk, but we we have to open the door. Will you open the door today? Blessings!
